Need a freeware text editor with syntax-highlighting and inline FTP access? I just downloaded cEdit. Will tell you how it goes, even though I should be asleep now. (Update: “Mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered.” Grr. Update update: File acquired.)

    Ahhh, the altar of the cult of Lincoln.

    My Illinois license plate has Lincoln’s mug on it, and I have a strip of tape on the bottom edge that reads, “SIC SEMPER TYRANNUS”

    I’m a big fan of jEdit. check it out at jEdit.org, I use it as my main editor for work and home. It does have an FTP plug in, though I have never used it.
