You’re the Man Now, Dog!

You’re the man now, dog! Eh, I don’t get it. But remember: if you ever need a Sean Connery voice-impersonator, I’m your man.

Update: Okay, the line was from Finding Forrester, which Valerie was kind enough to lend me. If you liked YTMND, then buy the movie! </shameless hit-leveraging>

I think the line is from “Finding Forrester.” I’ll lend it to you in exchange for an exhibition of your impersating skills!

I think this link should scare me, not sure why. It’s probably a sign of the end.

Why anyone would want to hear “You’re the man now, dog!” said in a Scottish brogue looped is beyond me. Definitely creepy.

My family are ancestral Scots. Now, here’s the thing about a top-notch Connery vocal impression: many people can get the accent down pat, but they don’t have the weight of his voice at all. You have to think “heavy” while doing it, or have a basso voice, to really do it. See Ewan MacGregor in Trainspotting.
