I’ve been getting a couple of hits from the sidebar referral list on this page, which appears to be an earlier test version of WeatherPixie. It remains a cute idea, but I still wish the graphic were much smaller so it would be less obtrusive in blog layouts.

I hate having to clean up other sites’ code soup.
The Dane has moved. Mind not to confuse his Nowheresville with Shiloah’s Nowhereville.

I’m startled. Until a few months ago, the world of Christian blogging was a relatively small niche, mostly occupied — as far as I could tell at first, anyway — by an elite clique of South Californian Reformed bloggers. ;)
Martin Roth’s blog list, however, marked a sudden and simultaneous consolidation and proliferation of fresh faith-based content, which now culminates in Blogs4God, a full-blown Christian blogger portal.
One thing I really love about living here in downtown Washington is that, if I feel like skating down to the Mall or the Reflecting Pool to see the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument by a summer sunset, I’m there in 15 minutes. Beautiful day to feed squirrels and ducks. I got pictures.

In the Information Age exhibit at the National Museum of American History, a decades-old Univac stands in a corner, guarded by a female mannequin with matted hair, uneven teeth, and a missing forefinger. I simply could not resist sticking my pencam over the railing and snapping this from an odd angle. The mannequin may look okay in the photo that came out, but trust me: in real life, it’s really freaky to look at.
