Steve Ballmer makes me so glad I switched.
Guardian on Mobile Blogs
My mobile blog gets brief mention in The Guardian. The way I went about making the thing was a bit of a hack, though; it needs an AIM account, an AIM-capable cellphone, Blogger, and Bloggerbot — all simultaneously working, which is not always the case — to be of use, and even then only up to 150 characters. Still, I’m having fun.
(I really don’t like the apellation “moblog.” The term sounds too much like “Smart Mob”, so I think that “mobile blog” will suffice for me, despite the extra syllable.)
Packerized!
I just received an email from Randall Packer, acclaimed audio/multimedia artist and professor of network art at MICA. Apparently I have achieved a small level of notoriety among some of the faculty for my *cough* 1337 skillz *cough*, and am now being invited to help out with a collaborative blog, and possibly even join the Advanced Network Art class for the Spring semester.
I’m seriously considering it. I’m also trying not to get a big head.
Tan-tan-tan…
The astronomy documentary on black holes currently playing on Discovery Channel is using a bastardized version of the Star Trek theme for its background music. It’s really pithing me off.
WLW?
Dave King says that someone posted 300+ links to me to illustrate a bug feature in the “Who Links Who?” rankings, but I hadn’t noticed anything odd in my referrals. Who did that?
In any case, my WLW page should be an excellent tool to update my link list from. (When someone isn’t linking me 300+ times, that is.) Thanks for the service, Dave.
Boarded Up
Boarded up buildings and storefronts, Howard Street. Baltimore’s winter.

Christmas Street
Thanks to Dean and Amy for an excellent Mexican dinner at Holy Frijoles, and a fun visit to Christmas Street in Hampden. Wow, all those Christmas lights! Pictures soon. (Sorry, it turns out I only took two pictures, and the focus wheel was in macro mode for both, so they were all blurry. But Dean has a buncha good shots.)
Ebenezer Potter
Don’t you hate how these days, whenever you sing a hymn whose words mention God as the “Potter,” you automatically think of Harry Potter? I bet the composer of Come Thou Fount must have felt the same way when Dickens’ A Christmas Carol was first published.
Congrats, Ganns and Cathy
Mabuhay po ang mga bagong kasal! (Long live the newlyweds!) Ganns and Cathy, may the Lord always smile upon your union, and may He bless you richly with dozens and dozens of little Baby Deens. “May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.” (Proverbs 5.18) (There’s more, but I’ll let you guys read it instead. ;)
Jasper Downstairs
My housemate’s cat, Jasper, by the light of a halogen lamp. First photo with a Pencam SD after I lost the Mini Pencam.
