To Do, To Do

Church, choir practice, lunch, dishwashing, drying and folding of laundry, payment of bills, and suddenly it’s 6pm. Where does the weekend go?

Not yet

Nope, nope, the page is not all ready yet, but I’m taking a break from all this coding and uploading to head for Baltimore, to join Amy and check if the cancelled(?) Baltimore Book Festival may actually still be on in some reduced form. I also need to check in on my old landlord in Little Italy, which is just a few blocks from the floods shown here, but gets no mention in the news. Neither he nor the neighbors are answering their phones, which probably means flooding and a power outage. Back later.

Incoming

  • Incoming.
  • Washington DC resident? Concerned about the harmful effects of tobacco smoke? Do something.
  • Verisign = Goons.
  • It is so very, very hard to reconstruct three years of web building, and I cannot bring myself to upload it until all my content is just as it was. And then some.
  • Someone else CSS’d Kottke, and I’m kicking myself for not having gotten my own “kottkefied” skin09.css up before he did.

ValerieDay

It is 29 August 2003, and I wish to extend a blessed HIPY PAPY BTHUTHDTH THUTHDA BTHUTHDY to Valerie. Now, go get her something.

(I will be back in September when I finish establishing a decent framework for converting a bunch of dynamically generated sites at work to standards- compliant, CSS-based layouts. Zeldman’s little orange book has been an indispensable resource.)
