Amy and I went out for a walk to the Washington Monument on Sunday afternoon to go watch the sunset. Since Sunday was the Autumnal Equinox, we had a great view of the sun setting dead on behind the Lincoln Memorial, shining right down the axis of the National Mall and throwing the shadows of flags and tourists into high relief on the Washington Monument walls. I tried setting my canon P&S camera to an exposure of -1 with color set to “vivid” to catch the afternoon light, and I like how everything came out. Full photoset here.
