Okay, I know I said a few days ago that the news outfits were overreacting to this sniper business, but considering that the guy is now making serious threats, and has managed to continue the killing spree while eluding authorities till now, I’d say there’s now sufficient precedent for the media frenzy. Not to say that it’s helping public calm. Or the investigation. To see nothing but “Sniper on the Loose” on CNN borders on silly tedium.

Don’t panic! After all, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Pray for the victims and their families; and pray that the sniper’s plans may be foiled, that his guns jam, that his bullets all miss, and that he be brought to justice.
