		<description>That’s a nice trail; I do that from my apartment sometimes.  There is a fantastic set of loops in the wide section of Rock creek a mile or so north from there.  Directions to my favorite:

1)	Drive North on Connecticut

2)	Take a Right on Military road

3)	Take the beach drive exit off military

4)	North on beach

5)	Park at Miller Cabin

6)	Hike the Valley Trail North along rock creek

7)	Valley trail will end at boundary bridge

8)	Cross over Beach drive and take the western ridge trail south

9)	Take the Fort De Russy trail east back to your car

It’s a beautiful 5.5 miles through the forest and it’s significantly more secluded than the Melvin Hazen Trail.  The trails south of Military on either side of Rapids Bridge are also lovely.  Here’s a map:
