The usual term for a group of deer is a herd, but there are a couple of alternatives, according to the internet. These are 'leash' and 'mob', although I've never heard these terms used with deer.

There are some terms for specific types of deer. These are a 'bevy of roe deer' and a 'gang of elk'.
