Amy came over for the weekend, and on Saturday night, we had a ball. No, really, we went to my alumni association's Blue Ball. (Yeah, great name, eh?) We ate a lot, danced a bit, mingled, looked at silent auction items, hung around in the hotel lounge, listened to talks from Father Nebres and Ambassador Del Rosario, and had my oath administered as an officer of the Ateneo Alumni Association of Metropolitan Washington DC -- which means I'll have to go to meetings, attend to PR matters, and maintain the website. I wore a fedora.
Photos from the Blue Ball here. We went to the Zoo the next day after church, but I forgot my camera. Then we had to leave early because a cancer-stricken giraffe had to be euthanized.

Somebody seriously needs to talk to the alumnus who coined that name. I mean, really? Did no one notice? I can hear the snickering all the way here in California.
That photo has a Kahlo-esque quality to it.
