If your uncle has an answering machine, I'd suggest letting it pick up. Then all you have to do is listen as its taking the message and only pick up if it's for you.
I hardly ever answer the phone here in my parents' house. Unfortunately, the answering machine is all the way downstairs... *sigh*
You should be ashamed of yourself. I can't even begin to imagine what you uncle could have done with all that money. ;-)
