Madrigal History Tour

I’m currently listening to The King’s Singers Madrigal History Tour. What a delightful little collection! The French and English madrigals are especially exquisite, and these guys sing Janequin’s La Guerre even better than the Janequin Ensemble themselves. Their La, la, la, la, je ne l’ose dire is also a pleasant listen, even at only 42 seconds long. If you’re a fan of madrigals or the King’s Singers, I highly recommend this CD. Excellent purchase.

That is so weird! We sing out of the Madrigal History Tour music books in choir. I sang “La, la, la, Je ne l’ose dire,” at festival one time, and we got a really great rating. Although, I have to say my favorite song by far is “Fair Phyllis.”

Wow, you got to sing madrigals with a choir? Oh, that is sooo cool. I’m envious. I’m sooo dang envious.

And yes, I like “Fair Phyllis,” too. And “Fine Knacks for Ladies.” And my favoritest of them all, “Loch Lomond.” Oh, wait; that last one was Quink, not KS. :)
