Chaos. The day before New Year, 14 people were killed and a hundred injured in simultaneous bomb blasts in different parts of Manila. Possible suspects: NPA communist rebels, Abu Sayyaf Islamic extremists, and government conspirators trying to derail President Estrada's impeachment trial and create a situation where he can declare martial law and keep himself in power.
